Reliability & Regulatory Manager

 

About the Role:

With a vision to create world-class consumer robotics, we are looking to add a Reliability & Regulatory Manager to our team. You will be responsible for overall end to end Reliability & Regulatory Engineering Management @ Zimplistic from Design Engineering Testing, Product Reliability Qualification, Component Reliability Testing, Production Reliability Testing and worldwide country regulatory compliance. You should be a self-starter with an ability to manage and lead cross-functional teams.

 

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Own and lead end to end reliability and engineering testing throughout the entire product lifecycle from development phase, production and until end of life.
  • Support the development and execution of laboratory tests to verify that system, subsystem, and component reliability targets have been met throughout the entire product lifecycle
  • Oversee the assignments and execution of projects to be on time and on schedule
  • Collect and analyze data from a variety of sources including field and complaint data, repair data, etc. in order to understand and quantify product performance; apply this information to set appropriate reliability targets for new products
  • Performing risk assessments of product designs and market failures.
  • Conduct failure investigations that address potential product issues that may require corrective or preventive actions
  • Continuous driving testing process improvement to improve testing effectiveness and efficiencies.
  • Mentor, coach, and develop reliability department direct reports
  • Drive new product worldwide regulatory certification process and continue to ensure current product changes is compliance to regulatory requirements.
  • Performing risk assessments of product designs and market failures.

Qualification:

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in an Engineering field of study

 

Must Haves:

  • Minimum 10 years or more of engineering & manufacturing quality experience in consumer electronic space.
  • Minimum of 5 years of people management experience
  • Demonstrable knowledge of quality processes and tools.
  • Demonstrated competence in product reliability tools, statistical sampling, and methodologies.
  • Six Sigma certification and lean manufacturing awareness
  • Knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements for Consumer Electronics
  • Experience in EMC and safety standard compliance testing highly desirable.
  • Flexible and adaptable to take on additional responsibilities as & when appropriate
