Logistics Manager

ABOUT THE ROLE:

At Zimplistic we are looking for a Logistics Manager  for Zimplistic Singapore.

The role would involve creating , improving and maintaining the  logistics management process to optimize total costs while assuring top tier service levels to all the customers.

You would ensure world class distribution operations and logistics services by establishing/maintaining a culture of high performance and engagement.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1.Distribution Operations –

  • To drive operations excellence across distribution centres and ensures all daily operations are managed effectively and any shortfalls are resolved within planned recovery times.
  • To meet customer requirements within required ship dates and deadlines, ensures distribution metrics are established and utilized for effective focus on daily/weekly/monthly performance targets.
  • Direct management of DC and coordination with the Assembly operations to ensure schedule adherence.

 

2.Logistics (forward and reverse)-

  • Responsible for developing, managing and maintaining the logistics strategy. This includes shipments to/from both domestic and international customers/suppliers, and to distribution centers and branches.
  • To develop, implement change & maintain processes for outbound & the reverse logistics operation (i.receipt, storage, screening, repair, & reclaim activities)
  • To Interface with internal stakeholders such as Finance, Logistics, Production and Engineering teams
  • To interface and be point of contact of external stakeholders such as 3PL Logistics partners/suppliers/operations
  • To coordinate repair strategies for existing & new product introductions (NPI)
  • To estimate logistics process cost and commercial impact, capacity & determines time standards
  • Responsible for Quality Controls / Audits and ensures that products comply within company's specifications
  • Drive continuous improvements on processes, cost savings, packaging initiative
  • Drive capacity planning and strategies
  • Responsible for handling the technical details of international transportation—multiple modes, complex documentation, and varying customs regulations, developing distribution strategies, and building relationships with logistics intermediaries.

3.Full accountability for the finances of the operating expense and transportation spend management and capital budgets.

4.Performs other tasks or duties as assigned.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Supply Chain, Operations Management or Logistics. Master’s Degree or MBA a plus.
  • Must have at least 8 years of extensive distribution, transportation or supply chain experience, most of which was acquired in a managerial capacity and ideally within a global supply chain environment.
  • Must have experience of setting up logistics operations and systems in multiple locations
  • Strong understanding of Logistics IT systems is required
  • Has a proven track record and demonstrated ability to think strategically then translate strategic vision into tactical action plans that result in delivered business results.
