Digital Marketing Manager

About the Role - We are looking for a creative Digital Marketing Manager who can both come up with innovative creative ideas (in conjunction with the In-House creative team), and also turn those ideas into impactful Marketing Campaigns that reach desired target audience, and create high level of engagement with that audience.

This role is part of our small, In-House creative team, responsible for creating and executing the marketing ideas and plans for the country markets we are addressing globally. Our intention is to leverage non-traditional marketing tactics to create a high level of community engagement and Brand preference. Focusing on Digital and Social Media, supported by PR and real-world demonstration events, Zimplistic will create a new Brand in the Connected Appliance Market.

The aim of our marketing activities is to create significant brand and product endorsement by the customers, and enable strong word-of-mouth (via social media) support for the products

The ideal candidate should be creative and pro-active, take pride in executing and constantly innovate to deliver the plan through fresh and effective executional methods. The work is often challenging and fast-paced, suitable for those seeking a hands-on role in marketing of consumer hardware products and creating not just a new Brand, but also a new product category globally as Zimplistic expands.

Summary

Responsible for jointly producing digital marketing content and ideas, executing digital campaigns, and monitoring their effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute digital marketing activities to maximize awareness, interest, and preference for Zimplistic products
  • Manage the ongoing activities for Search Engine Optimization to enable interested customers to find Zimplistic products
  • Work with In-House Art Directors & Copywriters to create innovative digital marketing concepts and ideas
  • Place Digital Marketing Messages in Earned Media and (to a lesser extent) Paid Media, to create awareness and preference for Zimplistic products
  • Oversee creative campaigns from production to completion.
  • Ensure Zimplistic pre-order, online sales volumes in target country markets are met (or exceeded)
  • Work within tight deadlines.
  • Monitor digital marketing campaign effectiveness, and recommend and implement changes as necessary to optimize results.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree with 5+ years of Digital and/or Social Media Marketing experience.
  • Digital Marketing/ Communications Agency background or Start-up experience is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and execution skills with an outgoing personality.
  • Ability to take initiative and make decisions quickly in fast-moving start-up environment
  • Resourceful and hands-on
  • Demonstrated experience building online and social media audiences for brands
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, not a "corporate person" and very outgoing, likeable, presentable, humble and naturally capable of easily interacting with others
